AWARDS & ACHIEVEMENTS

SPARKSchool: SPARK is a family-focused kindergarten-readiness program for four year olds that works collaboratively with families, schools, and community. Each month, children receive a new book, a lesson activity, and educational supplies, and participate in home- or group- based learning opportunities- all with the goal of increasing the child’s success in school and life.

OhioReadySchool: The Ohio Ready Schools Initiative (ORS) is a result of a statewide partnership formed in 2006 between the Ohio Department of Education's Office of Early Learning and Readiness, the Sisters of Charity Foundation of Canton, and the Ohio Association of Elementary School Administrators (OAESA).

“Straight A Fund” Recipient: In the fall of 2013 we were selected to receive funds through the “Straight A Fund” established by the Governor’s office and in H.B. 59. The intent of the project is to provide as many sustainable educational and cost savings benefits to the school district without recurring district costs.
There are three main objectives/benefits to the project:
1.) Peer to peer educational opportunities led by adult Mentors and Coaches and structured around the state testing standards and curriculum.
2.) Educational and Leadership skills for the participating students and teachers.
3.) Reduced Operational Cost in regard to energy usage.
