Mercer Health earns 2015 Women’s Choice Award as one of America’s Best Hospitals for Emergency Care
Mercer Health has earned the 2015 Women’s Choice Award as one of America’s Best Hospitals for Emergency Care. This award identifies the country’s best healthcare institutions based on robust criteria that consider patient satisfaction, patient recommendation rating and what women say they want from a hospital. This is an evidence-based designation reflecting exceptional clinical performance and women’s preferences.
“Receiving the Women’s Choice Award for Emergency Care validates the quality and compassionate care provided at Mercer Health. Yet, the greatest honor for the nurses, doctors and caregivers in our organization is the opportunity to care for and serve our community of neighbors, family and friends. For every patient we have cared for over the past 65 years and for the many who rely on us now and in the future, Mercer Health shares this award with you for your loyalty and trust in us.” states Lisa Klenke, CEO of Mercer Health.
The Women’s Choice organization expressed, “Mercer Health earned the America’s Best Hospitals for Emergency Care award because it consistently ranks among the best of the 3,600 hospitals reporting on their emergency department’s performance to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). The seven measures CMS publicly reports are weighted according to the priorities of women we surveyed. Hospitals that fall within the top 25% for most or all of the most important measures can earn the award. Awards are limited to hospitals with a solid HCAHPS recommendation rating.”
