untitledLocal Economic Development Directors addressed career technical administrators at the annual Ohio Career Tech Association meeting held in Columbus. Jared Ebbing, Mercer County Economic Director, and Angela Hamberg, Village of New Bremen Economic Director,  spoke about the value of networking to help eliminate the disconnect between industry and schools. They also expressed the need for skilled trained workers and the value of career technical training. These local directors, with input from industry, secondary and post-secondary schools, have initiated a two county web-based program called Hometown Opportunity to help connect Auglaize and Mercer County residents to local jobs.
