Celina Insurance Group and Employees Award Scholarship
May 26, 2016, Celina, OH/USA – Celina Insurance Group recently awarded $1,000 scholarships to three local 2016 high school graduates. The award recipients are: Jared Thobe, Minster High School; Kyle Homan, Marion Local High School; and Stetson Miller, Celina High School. The scholarship certificates were presented to the graduating seniors during an awards reception held at Celina Insurance Group on May 24, 2016.
Jared is the son of Bruce and Karla Thobe, Minster. He will major in Economics at the University of Cincinnati.
Stetson is the son of Mike and Amy Miller, Celina. He plans to attend The Ohio State University and major in Marketing and Finance.
Celina Insurance Group established the scholarship for graduating seniors pursuing degrees related to the insurance business. Seniors in Auglaize or Mercer County or a child/grandchild of a current Celina Insurance Group employee were eligible to apply. The top three applicants were selected on the basis of a written essay concerning the benefits of, and drawbacks to, using drones.
Bill Montgomery, Celina Insurance Group President and CEO, noted, “We are pleased to join with our staff in awarding these scholarships funds to Jared, Kyle, and Stetson. We want to encourage young people to consider a career in the property and casualty insurance business and to making our community their future home.”
